On the 13th July, European Technology Platforms (ETPs) ‘Food for Life’ jointly published with the ETP ‘Plants for the Future’ and TP ‘Organics’ a policy brief summarising their four main priority areas for Research and Development (R&D) in primary production and consumption. This executive summary report will be followed by a more exhaustive report.

The four key priorities/recommendations include:

  1. Creating an environmental performance toolbox allowing farmers to make the best management decisions
  2. Smartly reducing pesticide use
  3. Improving consumer knowledge and choice regarding healthy and sustainable diets
  4. Diversified farming systems for diverse diets
