Trends in the Food System
FIT4FOOD2030 has gathered evidence and strategic intelligence and mapped out the trends that are affecting the complex food systems. This work has been published as an extensive report, an inventory of trends and as a free downloadable card game.
The trend analysis is part of a series of analytical tools that serve as instruments that have supported processes of vision development, system understanding, road-mapping and action planning in the FIT4FOOD2030 project and can be implemented in a variety of settings and projects. An overview of needs, barriers and enablers for policies and governance of EU food systems
and food and nutrition security R&I
This report describes the concepts and methods used to compile an up-to-date mapping of the current EU and national food system-related policies. This has resulted in a systematic database containing information on measures that span across the spectrum of food policy goals. The current database contains 460 policies (as of 20th March 2019) and are classified according to the FOOD 2030 priorities and challenges, policy goals, targets (primary target and ultimate beneficiary), types of instruments, governance and links to relevant sources.
The performance of EU food systems towards European FNS and SDGs
In this report a scenario and modelling approach was implemented to explore whether the evolution of the EU food system to 2030 is likely to contribute to the SDGs for Europe, as well as on a global scale. The study focuses on a subset of indicators related to social, economic and environmental issues, representing SDG2 Zero Hunger, SDG10 Reduced Inequalities and SDG13 Climate Action.
