Ireland

.
The Irish Government through its Department of Agriculture, Food & Marine and its Department of Business, Enterprise & Innovation, supports the Fit4Food2030 project by running a policy lab. The policy lab will further support the transformation of research and innovation on food and nutrition security (FNS) in Ireland and Europe. The Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine and the enterprise Ireland are the two organizations that will coordinate the policy lab.
The prospect of an Irish policy lab was presented at a timely moment and provides an opportunity to address matters of important national interest. Examples are the development of a new Irish Strategic Research Agenda, the implementation of the bio-economy policy statement and upcoming recommendations of an ongoing national Food & Innovation Review. In addition, the policy lab will contribute to the development of an approach on food systems research & innovation and provide a platform for inputting on such an approach.
