The Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health and Consumer Protection committed to the Fit4Food2030 project by running a policy lab and will be the coordinating organization. The objective is to connect the Austrian Policy Lab to the operationalization of the Austrian Health Target 7 ‘To provide access to a healthy diet for all’. Representatives from other ministries, like the ministry of agriculture, are, or will be, involved in this initiative.
Through running a policy lab, Austria aims to support and expand the ongoing and planned work of the health target, enabling a wider view on food systems and healthy and sustainable diets, as well as offering a structure for bringing in R&I.
