Project Description

Making EU food systems work for health, environment and enterprise: the SUSFANS project delivers high-quality research on metrics, models and foresight to support evidence-based policies and innovation strategies for a sustainable and food and nutrition secure EU. SUSFANS is funded by the EU (grant 633692) and coordinated by Wageningen University & Research.

SUSFANS contributes future scenarios for food systems in the EU in a changing world. We will use modelling results to deliver insight into how research & innovation and food policies can deliver on the ambitions of FOOD2030, and will assess the EU’s contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals. The results are channelled as evidence base into the learning network, the FOOD2030 platform.
