Project Description
Deeply committed to urban food policy issues, the city of Milano hosts the Secretariat of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact (MUFPP): an international pact of food security and sustainable development signed by 159 world cities. Milano is the second largest Italian city with its 1,400,00 inhabitants and, as local authority, it is responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of many services such as: education, social services, economic development, mobility and housing.
In the framework of the FIT4FOOD2030 project, MUFFP will be mainly involved in the development and implementation its local City Lab designing pilot projects that will impact on local and external food policy strategies. Moreover, MUFFP will cooperate with the project partnership in the implementation of the FOOD2030 platform and contribute to spread the project activities at local level through communication initiatives.
