FIT4FOOD2030 is happy to announce the cities and countries that will be running the City and Policy Labs. The Labs are important building blocks FOOD2030 platform, which connects stakeholders at multiple levels.

City Labs
City Labs will develop hands-on trainings for students, researchers, professionals and the general public. Science centres, museums and science shops in Europe will bring a wide diversity of actors together by linking the labs to the network of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact . The seven cities where a City Lab will be run by a local science shop or museum are:

  • Amsterdam (Athena Institute)
  • Athens (Ellinogermaniki Agogi)
  • Barcelona (IrsiCaixa)
  • Budapest (Environmental Social Science Research Group)
  • Milan (National Museum of Science and Technology)
  • Sofia (Centre for Research and Analysis)
  • Tartu (Science Centre AHHAA)

Policy Labs
The goal of the Policy Labs is to reach alignment in policy and research related to food and nutrition security (FNS). This will inform the national or regional research agenda to ensure the maximum impact of research and innovation (R&I). Policy Labs will be held in:

  • Belgium (Flanders)
  • Hungary
  • Italy
  • Lithuania
  • The Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Romania

A second group of countries to run Policy Labs will be recruited further along in the project.
