The FIT4FOOD2030 City Labs are delighted to have been selected to be showcases in the publication “European cities leading in urban food systems transformation: connecting the City of Milan with FOOD 2030”. The report aims to “support everyone who is interested in learning more about the ongoing actions and debates over European food policies at the urban level” and highlights the efforts made so far to align with the European Commission’s FOOD 2030 initiative.
From the perspective of the City and Food Labs, the report focuses on sharing the current best practices, approaches and tools with practitioners from other cities interested in transforming food systems via Research and Innovation (R&I) in Europe and beyond.
The Fit4Food2030 project (2017-2020) is a Horizon 2020-funded project that supports the European Commission in implementing the FOOD 2030 policy framework. The Milan Urban Food Policy Pact (MUFPP) is taking part in the FIT4FOOD2030 project via the Comune di Milano and it is through this ongoing collaboration that FIT4FOOD2030 is helping to bring FOOD 2030 and the MUFPP closer together, in line with the objectives of this report.
